Rates and Methods
Our shipping rates vary and are calculated based on number of items being ordered, destination, and shipping option.
Once you have selected the items you would like to order and have placed them in your cart our website will automatically calculate the cost of the available shipping options.
Where do your items ship from?
Our items ship from locations in Canada and the United States and all the products available on the website are directly shipped to the customer from one of our warehouses.
For most destinations we offer:
UPS Standard (2-5 bus.days)
UPS Expedited (2-3 bus.days)
UPS Express (1-2 bus.days)
Postal Service (3-8 bus.days)

International Air Mail
On some items we also offer International Air Mail to our worldwide customers located outside of North America. International Air Mail shipping is a low cost alternative to UPS for shipments to outside of Canada and the USA. Unfortunately Air Mail does not provide a delivery date guarantee or detailed tracking. We find that most International Air Mail shipments take 1-2 weeks for delivery. Customers who do not receive their package within 3 weeks of it being shipped by Air Mail should contact their local postal outlet and contact our customer service department.
Taxes and Permits
Import Taxes and Levies
Bear Skin World is not responsible for any import taxes applied by some countries on international orders. If you refuse to pay import or customs tax levied by the country to which your order was shipped, your order may be destroyed or otherwise disposed of by said authorities. If this occurs you will not be entitled to any refund from Bear Skin World or any of its affiliated partners.
Bear skin rugs, wolf rugs, and some taxidermy mounts require CITES permits which we aquire on the buyers behalf prior to shipping. CITES permits can take up to 2-3 weeks for us to aquire.
EU CITES permits
European Union shipments of CITES listed animals (bears) require import permits from your country customs department prior to the order being shipped. This is a simple process. Once your order has been placed with us we acquire an export CITES permit for the animal. We then email you a copy of the CITES permit. You will supply your customs department with a copy of the CITES permit and they will grant you an import permit. Once you have acquired the import permit we will proceed to ship the order to you. It will then be fully compliant to clear customs.
Documents and Permits
We include all required customs documents and permits with every international shipment. We are well aware of permit and customs documentation required for each country that we ship to. We take every measure to ensure all requirements are in place so there is no delay in the shipment arriving.
Tracking and Insurance
We now offer UPS shipping with insurance and full tracking to all of our customers worldwide. Standard shipping via UPS is 2-5 business days. All UPS shipments include a tracking number and insurance. Your tracking number will be emailed to you. Our shipping charges include insurance and also include the cost of any required export permits or U.S. Fish and Wildlife declarations.
